CALL FOR CREATIVE WORKS IS OPEN - APPLY NOW!

Agenda - Art 2030, For the future! - The series of creative works opens 17 sectors of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development (Agenda 2030) through the Nordic arts for young people and children. The prospects and fancies of the future make themselves heard.

The series of creative works will be composed of seventeen (17) works by children and young people. A creative work can be dance, visual arts, music, performance, poem, circus act, environmental art, virtual reality, sound and light art, video, story, installation, etc. In other words, everything that can be regarded as art.

The Call for Creative Works is for young people and children under the age of 26 living in the Nordic countries. The presenter can be a young professional, an art enthusiast, a group of friends, a school class or a hobby group from any field of art. You can participate with an existing or a new piece of creative work.

The most important aspect is that the creative work will explore one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in relation to the future and the future prospects of the young artist.

The Call for Creative Works is open until 14 June 2022 (11:59 pm).

The selected art works will be presented on social media in October 2022, on the Agenda - Art 2030 series website, and the series will be compiled for the exhibition. The main location of the exhibition will be the premises of the Nordic Culture Point in Suomenlinna, Helsinki. For the creative works, venues will also be applied from the other offices under the Nordic Council of Ministers.

Curation will be organised through open and anonymised call. The Call for Creative Works intends to find the creative works related to sustainable development goals and future prospects. Ecology and equality are the key values of the series. The series of creative works will be implemented taking into account and preparing for the current COVID-19 regulations. In terms of presentations, the series of creative works will mainly consist of video recordings or streams, unless there is a significant change in the COVID situation during the year.

A prize of EUR 300 (less any taxes) will be awarded to the creative works selected for the series. The rights and the ownership are retained by the artist.
